[Jukebox-list] Rock-Ola 1488

Hi,

We recently purchased a nice Rock-Ola 1488 (wallmount
or stand jukebox).  We have had several 1493 models
but always wanted something even smaller for the
computer room.  Actually at my age I think the 165
pound weight is why we like it.  Every 1493 we have
owned or seen was in need of re-plating.  This 1488
has great plating and I believe it is original. 
Perhaps the process was better, or just lucky or
someone suggested the metal itself is a better
quality.  I dunno!

Thw 1488 has a knob on the right side (facing machine)
which serves as the coin release.  Our machine is
missing that knob.  We have checked with the two
principle suppliers of old used parts, but to no
avail.  I just wondered if anyone had any thoughts
before I start looking for a substitute that might
serve the purpose until I, hopefully, find a real one.
