Bob,
The 1484 is the wall jukebox which I believe is the mechanism from the 
Princess. The Regis is the 1488.
The knob and shaft are as one. The assembly is fixed in place by a single 
screw in the shaft centre. The shaft at this end has a flat machined on it 
which locates a cam plate which when rotatred actuates the coin reject. 
There is a spring which adds resistance to the knobs rotation.
