[Jukebox-list] Wurlitzer 1015 w/ 503 Amp

Can someone give me a little assistance on a Wurlitzer 1015 w/ a Model 503 Amp?  There is no output through the speaker which is running about 6.2 Ohms DC Resistance.  The glass cased tubes are all glowing.  Two tubes are metal, one of which is "warm" and I tried swapping the other with a tube the lady had in her stash to no avail.  The P/U cartridge/needle has been epoxied onto the tonearm and the volume control seems to have no effect.  I get a faint hum through the speaker, but it is not variable when turning the volume control.  The little old lady that owns it claims it was working the last time she played it, but that was seven or eight years ago.

I don't have access to a tube checker or a local source for in-stock tubes.  I also don't have any experience on old tube type amps.

Either I need someone to point me in a direction to troubleshoot a simple problem and cure OR locate a repairman who can fix the amp.  Her current husband is dying of terminal lung cancer and she wants it to play for him before he goes....
