Hi All,
I ran into a 2250 Wurlitzer (200 play) mech with a problem that I have never seen before. The record lift arms fail to retract far enough to clear the basket. Even with the adjusting screw run all the way up, there is still about 1/2 inch per side, left to go. I was un-able to remove the whole "link & lever assemb.", as one of the screws holding it in place is frozen.
Since could not remove it, I can not see what is going through the large center hole. There may be a pin, or a pin and a roller, which is permanently attached to the front vertical bar of the assembly, which passes through the large hole. It appears to me, that either the pin has gouged itself, or perhaps there should be a roller attached onto the pin. The cam follower roller looks original, and OK.
In any event, the frozen screw is sitting in a bath of Liquid Wrench for now.
Does anyone know what, if anything, is supposed to be on that pin? Or does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
TIA, Ron Rich
