  Thanks--you have "jogged" my very good--but not too long memory !--I did see that once before--but since the phono is not here, and I can't remember----I'll press my luck and ask one more stoopid question---does the mech need to be removed from the cabinet to remove/ reform/ reinstall those pins??

Whenever I ran into this problem it was caused by someone forcing the 
record lift arms and thus bending the pins that they pivot on...we 
have been able to twist them back once the arms have been removed 
from the machine.

The pins I speak off go through the large bearing casting sides.
