That's all correct, although I've found it to be quite
reliable. I don't think I've ever had to do anything to
mine, except occasional contact cleaning, in the 30 years
I've owned it. One thing about this type of selector is
that it, in and of itself, puts on a good show. It
sounds like a Strowger telephone switch running. I suppose
I should put a sound file of it on my web page to go with
the M100-A video. :-) It just sounds cool, in a very
retro-hightech way.
