[Jukebox-list] Seeburg Teardrop RS1-8 Speaker Hookup

I just acquired a single RS1-8 Seeburg Teardrop speaker and was wondering
how I should go about hooking it to my Seeburg 100C.

The service manual appears to say I do not need an additional amplifier and
to wire it from either the "C" & "1" or the "C" & "4" terminals on the
terminal board to the "1" & "2" terminals on the speaker. Correct?

Questions:

Should I remove the jumper wire between terminals 3 & 4 on the speaker?

What gauge wire should I use for about a 6 ft speaker run?

The manual says while the older Type RS speakers may be used on the 100C the
Type RS are recommended because of their volume control and WARNING: NEVER
connect 8 ohm speakers directly to the terminal board of the amplifier! I
assume it is referring to the Type CV speakers and not to the Type RS?

Do I set the select-o-matic speaker switch to what sounds best?

What Ohm do I set the selection speaker switch to? 8 ohm? From the 16 ohm
I'm running the main speaker on?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
