Hi Sue & Dennis,

This reply is late, but I guess better late than never :-)

I've owned a wurly 3400 since 1979.  I believe Jackie and myself are the 
only
members on this list who would admit to owning one. 

Mine has given me very little problems and it sounds great.  I just 
replaced it's
stylus with a NOS Astatic N14-d and wow, it sounds even better than before!

Mine had a side b problem about 1 year ago... It turned out to be a very 
dirty
contact board on the underside of the carousel.  To get to it I had to 
remove
the entire carousel assembly.   And while I was at it I took apart the 
scan arm
and cleaned the "fingers" that travel along the contact board.  It's 
worked flawless
every since.

Most of the members hate the 3400 because it's hard to work on... I love 
the challenge!!

I wouldn't part with my 3400 and in fact would buy ANOTHER if I could 
find one close by.
