James,
I came in on this thread in the middle so I'm not sure if you addressed this yet. What are you doing to bridge the stereo signal to mono from the output of the iPod? I have a Creative MP3 player that I think would be a hoot to play through my G-120 especially if the jukebox is sitting idle. Now THERE'S a great project! Hook up an MP3 player to the amp that will play when the jukebox is idle, but mute and switch over to the tone-arm output when the mech starts moving and plays a record. Hmmmm....I'm going to have to give that some thought.....um....after I finish my kitchen - the PROJECT FROM HELL!!!!
I've actually used the R-145 amp as a sound source for other audio projects I've worked on around the shop. However, I cheated and used my resistor box in line with the RCA imput of the amp to simply bring down the level going into the amp from a line-out source. Not exactly the right way to do it, but it worked nonetheless.
