Well, you boys were right.

The AMI G120 came back to life after just a few fairly easy to diagnose
mechanical and electrical issues were dealt with.
You were right about the zip cord, too, although some of it is remarkabley
good. I suspect it may have been replaced at some point. What does need it
is all the lighting, amplifier cord, and a few other tidbits. Looks like
the mech wiring was either improved vinyl, or has been changed at some
point... maybe just spared direct exposure to amplifier heat and UV from the
lighting.

That all said, for all intents and purposes, it's basicly working right now,
although I have not heard it yet and I haven't installed the new needle and
it's missing a 12AX7 tube which should be here any day. Caps all look good
and test good, but I'll be recapping it eventually.
Now it's just details, some missing selections (probably just loose plugs
undeneath because they're in groups; I can actually see one plug out,
adjustments, motor mounts, replacing the lower grill, paint, cleaning up the
idividual units....

I think I've decided on black for the most part, but with yellow on the
upper horn box and on the raised section of the front door. This will give
it a cool look and still pay tribute to the original yellow paint job.

For now, it's a keeper. It's going into my friend's used record shop to
replace the AMI MM5 I have there. He wants to buy it, but this way, I retain
ownership and can enjoy it and share it.
