Make sure you plug them in the right way. Although those
little round plugs are keyed, it's easy to "force" them
in the wrong way and that will lead to a few selections
not working. Did your machine come with a selection
receiver for wall boxes? Also, some times the selection
levers can get sticky. Either because the toggle spring
is too tight or the lever itself is gummed up. If you
can make the lever eventually move by pressing the same
selection repeatedly, you'll probably need to remove the
lever assemblies from the magnets and soak then in solvent
to clean them up. Don't lubricate them - they're designed
to run dry.

That would be cool. Much more customer involvement than
a console machine, and it's nice and bright so it will
"show" well in a venue like that. And the sound, of
course, we've already covered.
