Hi I had the same problem !
I sprayed it with a red glass spray from B And Q.
It took lots of coats, 10 or more and each coat was sprayed and then left to
dry, It can run if you put to much on. Spray in a warm place to help the
drying and non running !
I used a good can of the stuff, kept building the coats up untill its a real
high gloss but transparent, the light shines through it and it has lost that
yellowing colour..worked a treat
