Have you considered the method I posted a while back of
wrapping the fluorescent lamp above the mechanism with
alternation bands of red, blue and green gels?  It really
gives a great rainbow of colors to the title strip holders.

That's not the half of it - they're 78s!  Same mechanism
as the A, B anc C (but, I assume, with a magnetic pickup).
It would have to be the best-sounding 78 machine ever.
I'd love to get my hands on an F-40.  There's some doubt
as to whether any G-40s were actually made, even though
they're mentioned in the manual.  The decision to discontinue
the 78 mechanism may have been made after the manual went
to press. Wes said at one point he had one or two F-40s.
Too far away to be practical for me, though.
