Cool, thanks for the fast reply :))

I thought too that it should be taken apart. When we first turned on the box 
the two gearwheels on the "gripper arm shaft" were sticking together so hard 
that the motor wasn't able to move the gripper arm at all. After manually 
moving it in each direction a few times the motor was able to move the arm.

Should those gearwheels stick together "just a bit" or "not at all"? ;)

How does one take all the stuff off the "gripper arm shaft"? Can you give me 
some instructions? (Unfortunately I don't have the service manual for the 
box)
I already tried to remove the screw at the back of the "gripper arm shaft" but 
it seemed like it was only there to hold a little black piece of metal which 
is moving the stylus brush forth and back.
