Yeah, I have a copy of Chuck Berry's "Maybelene" on Chess
that's probably V- condition. It's about half the volume of
any other record on the machine and is just plain *gray*.
The B side is fine. It was obviously loved to death on
an accoustic machine.

Scratches aren't a problem, but as has been pointed out,
curb-like cracks are. Styli don't like making that hop.
Lamination cracks usually aren't an issue unless there's
something missing, but with repreated play they'll get
worse.
