[Jukebox-list] Wurlitzer lamp problems

Ron, very simple. Use a chain saw and an air hammer. I asked my brother about this once. He told me there was nothing to it. He changed one for me once, but being paranoid, he would change it for me, but I could not watch. He took the secret to his grave with him. I never found out how he did it. I could write a book about the strange things he could do. When video games first came out and when he was called to repair one, he would stare at the circuit board and after going into a trance, he would point at a chip and tell me to replace a certain one. It would be the defective one. The world has lost a unique soul. Wes

Wes,
Did you ever figure out how to replace that 2300 lamp (I assume you are speaking of the one under the keyboard) easily? I have given up, at least on "location"--Ron Rich

Alan, when I worked for a Wurlitzer distributor, I had the same question
about the lamp replacement on the 2300 series. One day the 'factory man',
known as the field service engineer visited us and I posed the question to
him. He replied that it was a piece of cake. I invited him to demonstrate.
After two hours and a broken side glass he finally removed the lamp. I
noticed the next model corrected this problem. I would appreciate any new
information concerning this problem. This is just another example of
Wurlitzer's fine engineering. Wes

I have a client who has an old 200 S, who seems to be having problems
removing the bottom light bulb. I told him about this email list and he
wants to be added so he can ask you all for help.
His email address is thegolfcouple at adelphia.net
