Jay,
All the MTH fuses that I've seen have a thin wire with small "crinkles" in the wire. I have seen AGC's with the flat zig-zag wire.
BTW, the last two boxes of Buss, MDL 2's I got were made in different places--Mexico and--you guessed it--China

Similar to AGC in terms of characteristics. They have a flat zigzag
stamped element instead of a wire.
