Hi:
I have ALMOST completed the repair of this 1940 beauty. But, as always there
is one last problem: The bottom record in the stack of 24 will come out of
the stack normally, allow the turntable to take it off the holder, raise it to
the tone arm and play wonderfully. BUT when the play is over, the eject
mechanism begins the process to return it to the stack, and here is where I have a
small problem: As the turntable is lowering to its nested positon, the record
holder shelf begins to retract BEFORE the record has become seated in the
holder, and it then pushes the record partially off the holder as it retracts,
jamming the mechanism. The BOTTOM record is THE ONLY one that does that. I
cannot find any reference to an adjustment for this in my Wurlitzer manual. All
the other 23 play, eject and go back into the stack normally. Can anyone offer
any help?
Many thanks,
Jerry
