It makes sense that the retract cycle starts after the turntable has been
pulled down to it's lowest point. Since the bottom record is nearest that
point, it would seem that either the turntable is not being pulled down far
enough, possibly a worn or misadjusted cam follower, or the retract cycle is
starting too soon. If I recall correctly, the turntable is pulled up with a
spring, and pulled down by a cam follower, to make the downstroke 100%
positive. Correct me if I remember wrongwise. Ummmm.... I am seeing a
setscrew adjustment for the turntable vertical setting, but again, I may be
hallucinating.
