[Jukebox-list] Critical oiling and greasing points on Wurlitzer 1900

Hello Brussels, will do, but no need to quote the whole digest ;o)

If it was properly greased not too many years ago, you probably won't have
to do much. If it is noisy and there is dried out grease on the main cam, it
is time to clean it up and relube.

Right from my head, here are some places you want to check out

Standing in front of the machine, turn the carousel around until you see the
recess in the inner ring pointing towards you. There is a hole in the plate
below. Give it five drops of light machine oil.

Now get behind the jukebox. If you look under the silver cover, there's a
hole above the turntable shaft for a drop or two of oil.

The turntable motor shaft and drive pulley could use a drop of oil on the
bushings. The nylon gear should be lightly greased.

Make a selection for an empty record slot. Check that the record lift arm is
moving with ease and not catching anywhere. There are two guiding rollers
that should run free and may need a drop of light oil. Do the same for the B
side.

The carousel is resting on three rollers, these can be lubed from below.

The stop pawls should be clean and without rust. Don't lube these!

The DC motor has a bearing on the rear, give it a drop of oil while the
motor is running.

The main cam should be greased.

Last, and easy to overlook - when you make a B-C-D selection there is a ring
that rotates to position the rockers in front of the proper pin. It is
resting on three tiny rollers and these need to be lightly oiled or your
selections will act up.
