Jens, yes, it's sweater weather down here, Sunny and around 60 degrees... very nice. They're very hot on new high-rise apartments and are wiping out many of the old buildings of European architechture. Yet many neighborhoods are still intact like the Palermo Soho area which is much like Greenwich Village in NYC, kinda funky and artsy. The docks are also converting the old brick warehouses into very nice restaurants(complete with a Hooters, oh well) and expensive apartments flats. Every major corporation has a large highrise here, Microsoft, Sun MicroSystem, LG, etc. Also, the beef is great, but the waiter was telling us that much of the really good beef is going offshore.. to of all places Russia, because they have the $$$s. The Argentine government has strict price controls on beef in-country, so some of the best beef gets exported at high prices. Tonight is Tango night, big dinner and a Tango show...
Hasta LaVista,
Britt Abbott
