I'd be concerned that those might pop out with jukebox use,
but they might hold firmly enough. It would be an interesting
thing to try.  But like you, I've never seen an EP with a
big center hole.

 Webster-Chicago made some really nice metal adapters in
the 50s.  Most of the ones I have I inherited from my dad.
The problem is that most people  don't know how to install
or, especially, remolve them and end up breaking the records.
But they definitely will *not* pop out!
