Back 25-some years ago, a friend used my G-200 for his wedding
reception. It was at the Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club, a very
ritzy venue. We hauled the jukebox there in a friend's pickup
truck, lifting it in and out without a liftgate or any other
mechanical assistance. I set it up in one side of the room,
with a wallbox at the bar at the other side of the room.
When we showed up the next morning (more than just a little
hung over) to pick it up, the regular members of the club
were playing it and having a grand time, and were rather
disappointed to learn its presence was only temporary. So,
much to Skip and Buffy's chagrin, we moved it out, all manual
labor again, but since the driveway into the place was so steep,
we *backed* the truck out uphill for fear the machine might
break loose and tip over. The reception was a lot of fun, but
never again. Lifting a 400 pound machine in and out of a pickup
truck is a job for 20 year olds. I think my friend offered
to give me fifty bucks for my trouble, but I "donated" the AMI's
use as a wedding present. And, of course, I had to "pay" the
friends who helped me move it with a "hair of the dog" stop by
a local watering hole on the way home, so all in all I was
probably out 40 bucks or so.
