I moved the AMI G-120 I fixed up for a friend to his house
using another friend's truck with a *home made* lift gate.
The gate raised and lowered through a horizontal arc, such
that when he lowered the machine, not unly did it land with
enough force to break both fluorescent lamps, the grille
on the lower door ended up 1/2" from the trailer hitch ball.
Man, I was scared to death! But the machine ran perfectly.
All I had to do was replace the lamps. This guy sells
cast concrete garden fixtures and had never used the lift
gate to lower anything more delicate than a concrete bird bath.
