But if the records need to be ejected manually, wouldn't
that indicate that the runout groove is "too large" in
diameter (although it could be within spec, just on the
large side of spec), not that the song is too long.  If the
song was too long, the record would eject before the song
was over rather than not at all.  Still, the remedy is the
same - just move the reed switch in the other direction.
