Hi Nathan, Congratulations on getting a SS-160. I personally favor Seeburgs
and the SS-160 is a good mix of style and "newer" technology in my opinion.
And I recently resurrected one, it's one of my favorites (there are so many!)

First, do some research - check out the archives as there is a wealth of
information to be had. Second - get a service manual, a parts and operation
manual would help too.

I am guessing that this is your first juke?

If you are serious about fixing it, consider Tony's newest book "Seeburg
console-era jukeboxes" Available from Tony's site
http://home.pacbell.net/fmillera/index.htm

Also Ron Rich has a great book on the Seeburg mechs - available on Tony's
site and other juke sites.

I purchased all of Tony's and Ron's books. I don't have all the jukes they
cover but they are great reference material for future purchases.

As far as your immediate concern with the solenoids, unplug the wire from
the coin rejector and see if the solenoids stop operating - sounds like a
stuck coin switch or someone's hack job.
