Hi!

How does your friend come to think that the main IC on the logic board lost 
memory? I think it is a ROM which is in another IC (the rom IC ;) - ROMs 
cannot be reprogrammed.

In case you _really_ need the content of this ROM, I might be able to help 
because a friend has the same box so I might be able to make a dump for you.

Or maybe Rockola would send you the contents of the ROM if they still have it?
