I agree with Kyle about the oil--one thing however, a "too strong" spring will also cause it to run slow--How are the motor mounts--are they the  correct Rock/Ola white ones with the "domes" mounted up??  Ron Rich

Does the motor get hot? If so, it needs to be cleaned out and/or lubricated.

Is the idler wheel spring strong? A weak spring will cause poor turntable speed.
