My 429 developed a "clunk" when the record is placed in the carriage and the carriage starts to move. It seems like something is catching.  This has happened twice before. The first time a stop pin on the body of the gripper broke. The second time the gripper motor was loose. I took everything apart( short of taking the entire gripper apart) and lined everything up and put it back together and it still clunks. With the gripper motor disconnected, the gripper moved freely. I can't see anything binding on the carriage. any suggestions as to what else to look for.
