If it's the original lock in the back door it will be C440A.

Used on most of the early Rowes (I think it is stamped on the lock itself).

I think you can still get these- if not, you can definitely get them cut. I
have had 3 or 4 done over the years for the same guy who keeps losing his
keys.

John, and All,
Here in the SF, California area, most "routemen" were the persons that
changed the records, and collected the cash. I would agree that 99% of the
"service locks" (cabinet) were never changed. Cashbox locks tended to be
changed to a company "master", so that the routeman (sometimes also called
"collector"), did not need a different key for each machine (both juke and
games) in each location. Ron Rich

Actually operators rarely replaced the cabinet locks - however they DID
put in their own cashbox locks though - for security. Your cabinet key
is likely to be a C256 or an A440. Rowe/AMI used the same cabinet key
for years, made it much simpler for jukebox operators to open the
machines without having a huge number of keys. Your route serviceman did
not need the cashbox key to fix or replace the records - yet could
record the coin meter, and the person responsible for the cash could
only get the cash, without being able to get at the meter.
