[Jukebox-list] Trashcan is together!

Hi Ron,
Yes I think I have the correct plastic, I had a long chat with the Tech in
my area and also the guy at VG and explained exactly how the plastic was
secured in my Trashcan. The good news is..........The Pilasters are IN !
and it looks so beautiful!
I had to do some head-scratching to get it all to work. The plastic edges
were too deep for the wood strips that secured the edges of the pilasters so
I am using clips that are screwed into the wood at the edges of the plastic.
It gives it enough pressure to make a nice tight fit. Also, I did drill the
holes for the chrome inserts between the top and bottom pilaster. I used a
Drimmel from my neighbor and that thing just burned right through smoothly
(it had a small sand stone tip). Fortunately I measured and marked "spot
on" and the chrome piece fit right in!!!!
I was in my glory working on this Jukebox. I wished I needed to use that
Drimmel some more but the fun was over quickly! LOL

Everything is back in, light strips, lights w/new bulbs and it's just
waiting for the Mech to go back in (too heavy to do alone) and the Door to
be put back on, I need help with that also. Then I can swap out the amp and
am waiting for my friend Mel to come help me with the wiring. I will put
some new pics on Photobucket site of the finished Pilasters, it looks like a
completly different box, unbelievable. I have to say this is much more fun
than getting one you don't have to do anything to the cabinet. I wish I had
a place other than my dining room to work on it. I have also decided you
can do just about anything if you have the right tools!!

As always, thanks for your help, I did consider the possibility the plastics
were not the correct ones but I think it would not have mattered as they
both have the same deep edges, one having cut-outs and that would not make a
difference with the wood strips securing the edges. I'll keep you updated!
Fun, fun, fun
Jackie
