[Jukebox-list] American Food

It's kind of funny when you think of Canadian food, or try and decide what it is. It often comes out the same as American Food.

Some (like Bob and Doug McKenzie fans) would say back bacon, jelly donuts and beer but we do also have some distinctly French Canadian fare like "tourtiere", and the fare available at the "Cabane a Sucre" like eggs with maple syrup etc. - but that's probably not much different form a US "sugar shack."

It's always fun as Canadians and Americans try and say how different they are when we are really very much the same. You do have all that good Mexican influence food as well. And I guess you have your fair share of French cuisine in "Louisiane!"

For me it's steak, ribs and corn on the cob.

P.S. And of course a Canadian staple is Tim Horton's Coffee - God I miss the stuff!

One of my favorite food songs is "I Got It" by Little Richard (on 45) and covered by Sleepy La beef (from the album "It Ain't What You Eat")
