[Jukebox-list] Seeburg Mechanism Turntable and Cables Exchange

Gents I sent an earlier copy of the below, but included a very long string
of backup info that wasn't needed (bad e-mail etiquette). I apparently
successfully got the e-mail back (judging from Digest Vol 52, Issue 16) and
send the below request for information in it's place.

I have 2 Seeburg mechs, one B and one C.

1. The C mech is good only for parts and has a beautiful chromed turntable
on it and B mech is quite functional but with a drab unplated turntable.
Although the Service and Parts Manuals show the parts breakdown for the
Frame Assembly, and the Turntable Shaft and Gear Installation; I can find no
indication of how much force should be applied to remove the turntable after
removing the retaining screws and I see no other parts to remove first.

2. The cables and plugs on the C mech are in great condition where as the
cables on the B mech are frayed, the single prong plug is missing, and the
11 prong plug has the plug guide key (in the center) snapped off. Assuming
the two sets of cables are interchangeable, I have two choices - cut the
cable somewhere above the frayed area on the C and cut the cables on the B
and splice the C cable into the B cable; or what appears to be a more
complicated option but with a neater look, unsolder the cables completely
from the B and C mechs and solder the good C mech cables into the B mech.

Any advice on either or both of these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Pete
