Sorry it took so long to get back to you, JC - for some reason
your message was dumped into my junk mailbox.  When you're
standing at the machine, to make selections, you're looking
down at the mechanism at, say, a 45 degree angle.  You
can see the whole thing.  The mirror allows you to see the
mechanism from across the room.  Its absence is obvious in
my pictures by the fact that all you see is the white-painted
surface of the rear door.  This machine puts on a very good
show.
