  I asked the same question when we saw the first one----why no wheels ?  The answer was --"good furniture don't got no wheels---you dumb ----" (The answer was from one of the "girls" from the front office--who also explained to us dummies why the wood had what we thought was "black paint" all over it--we were trying to think of ways to remove it !) p.s. I 've arranged a place for my HSC1 jukebox by moving furniture around 
and getting rid of a chair.My old reliable Zenith console tv gets to stay until 
it dies or becomes totally obsolete.The only holdup is the speakers I won on 
ebay last night.The left one was replaced with a standard woofer (no highs) and 
the right one is rattling on certain bass notes. This thing is a bear to 
move.I think I'll have to get those furniture sliders for it so the turntable 
motor can be lubed once in a while and the needles changed.
Why they put no wheels on it I'll never know.
