Well, then, I guess it just depends upon in which circles
you travel. I've never heard of Neal Umphred. Not so say
he isn't a reliable source; it's just that I'm not aware of
his discograhpies. I only run into references to "VG" and
"F" gradings on rare occasion. I've never bought a record
on Ebay because there are so many ignorant and/or fraudulent
sellers there, with the exception of a 16" transcription
record of some Texas beer commericals from the late 1940s
I bought a while ago, but the grading was descriptive,
not on a scale.
