Hi, Brian - If you don't have a manual you really need to get
one. In looking at the debug page for your problem (and this
assumes that you have verified the problem exists for *all*
100 selections) they suggest:
1) 2-Amp slow blow fuse is blown (F4).
2) U and/or V contacts in credit and cancel unit fail to make.
3) X contacts on timing relay fail to make.
4) Electrical selector or selector assembly 27-prong plug
not fully seated.
5) Broken wire or bad solder connection somewhere in circuit.
Now, assuming you don't have the manual (and I wouldn't
go into this detail if you weren't an honored member of
the armed forces :-) ), the U and V contacts are the
middle ones in the pile of switches that the cancel
solenoid activates when it takes off credits from the
credit unit (rotating the snap-action switch wheel).
The timing relay is the one with a lot of copper slugs
on it, also located near the cancel solenoid. "X" is
the contact pair on the far right as viewed from the
relay armature spring side. The F4 fuse is in a surface-
mount fuse holder on the lower left of the selection
receiver as viewed "through" the front of the machine.
Hope that helps.
I'm starting a new job tomorrow so this will probably
be the last time I can research a problem like this
for a while, but it's kept me busy on these rainy
days, which is good!
