I would set the record load/play lever in the LOAD position. This lever 
is under the front of the carousel and snaps back and forth across the 
front of the machine. Putting the machine in LOAD will disconnect the 
magazine motor power.

Now try making a selection (with a new 2A fuse). If the fuse blows the 
problem is in the selection system, if it does not then the problem is 
in the carousel drive - perhaps a shorted brush on the main motor...
