Door looks GREAT !!! I need a door like that for my 146M that sits in my garage. It's got the 146 door that I don't like... I like yours, the 147 door!!!!

I used new Mirror Tiles, painted the grill, steelwooled the chrome and polished it up with car wax, used a very cool multi colored sequence fabric that should look awesome with the lights on it and refered to my digital pics to remember how the heck to get everything back in the right place, LOL  It really looks great.  This won't be a "restored" 147 but it will be a nicely "refurbished" 147 and I can live with that.  thanks to everyone for your help and advice on the door project.  Next, the Mech!
