You really have done an amazing job so far.  I understand your enthusiasm.  I have brought a few pieces of antique furniture back to life including one old wind up Victrola that I bought for $50.  The gramophone part worked fine but the exterior was very rough looked terrible.  A lot of stripper, elbow  grease, steel wool, linseed oil and turpentine later and it now looks very presentable.  It will never be like it was originally but it looks really nice in my living room.  
 
I find nothing more rewarding that saving something and getting it looking nice again.  That's why I am eventually hoping to get my hands on a 78 jukebox with a wooden exterior, even it it needs lots of TLC.
 
Can't wait to see the final version of your jukebox!
