[Jukebox-list] Rockola 1438 Selector Lever Cancel Solenoids

Ron is probably correct. The plunger on the cancel solenoid was sticking on my 1438. If your 1438, like mine had been sitting up unused for a number of years then those solenoid plungers get sticky. I used a Q-tip to push it in and out, but it would still occasionally stick. I moved the wires at the solder points on the solenoid and one just popped off (bad/poor conneciton). I re-soldered and no more more problem...

>Yes--they are on the moving "frog" that rides the outside of the pinbank. Plungers are probably just stuck. If the "back ends" are the "open type" just stick a nail into the rear to free them up. or remove and clean them---if not the problem, you'll need to dig out the schematic.
