Interesting to learn that glue only will do the trick. I've
always made a "bandage" of tissue paper soaked in diluted
Elmer's glue, applied front and back. I learned that trick
from my dad. Back when I was two, I kicked my foot through
the bass driver of his home made plywood coaxial corner
horn, and that's how he repaired it. (My dad built what was
a pretty killer Hi-Fi for its day.) He claimed it took
two or three miles off its range outdoors, but it still
sounded fine in the house. :-) It was that claim that led
me to see if I could use my G-200 to "transmit" across
Puget Sound from Sunrise Beach to Pt. Defiance in Tacoma.
It did!
