Yes, the manual I have (which is a Xerox copy) shows in the
"Models 700 and 800 Mechanism Service Manual" section, on
page 33, Figure 26, "L-324 Cover Assembly Parts Group", 
part number F-3705, described on page 37 as "Turntable Disk."
The steel engraving illustration shows a plain disk, with
no texture, just radial "reflection" wedges of light and dark
shading.
