I have been cleaning my 45's with rubbing alcohol and a soft flannel rag. I seems to do a good job and actually puts a little shine on the old vinyl. So far it hasn't damaged any. A local guy who has a record store and sells vintage music for a living uses auto window washer fluid.with some alcohol mixed with it. It also works and is cheap.
