I "hear" you! It is getting harder and harder to find experts in  
these areas! Perhaps we should all get into lost wax sand casting and  
make our own replacements. I have looked into this, but who has the  
time to learn another trade?

I would phone around motorcycle restoration shops - they know the  
good welders...
