According to the schematics of the amp one of these
volume controls is a easy enough to build. I assume
(we all know what assuming does) it would require a
shielded cable and be limited by length. Using only a
momentary switch and 4 position pot it should be easy
enough. Even though I'm not sure the availability of
the multi-pin connector that would be used to plug
into the amp socket. Does anyone know if these are
available?

The 101 is old enough that it probably used a wired
volume control as my 222
does. No motor.Just a wired volume control and reject
button. Not sure when
the motorized unit was introduced. After the Q or Y
maybe?
