[Jukebox-list] NEWBIE QUESTIONS: Rock-ola 450 & 454

What I suggest is: 1. Remove the TT motor, use a SAE 20 wt motor oil and saturate the felt on both bearing ends. 2. Replace the three motor support rubber washers with the correct Rock-ola "white" rubbers ( contact me off list if you don't know where to get them). 3. Clean the idler wheel and inside of the TT with a "safety solvent". 4. Using the same oil as above, oil the TT shaft and bearing, and the idler wheel bearing. 5. Clean and oil the (speed shift) "slides" under the TT. ---also, while you have the oil handy, oil the gripper arm --anywhere that you see a bearing, post, or shaft. Be sure to get oil in btewwn the two gears on the end.
  Lotsa Luck,
  Ron Rich

Thanks again for the reply.. So I have the 450 up and running, with
selections working now, but the RMPs on the turntable are too slow. I've
tried to find the problem in the manual, but haven't been able to so far..
Any input as to how I can tune or change the turntable RPM?

Thanks!
