I first made contact with Daniel 2 years ago through this list. Hundreds
of emails and photos since he had achieved what he set out to do. He has
not only chromed and painted but has also completely disassembled the mech
to clean and correctly oil and grease. Re wired the AC Voltage, The
motors had to be disassembled cleaned oiled and new brushes. Along the
way numerous faults where found and fixed by him with advise via email. and
phone. He has taken on a very major project that others would have walked
away from. At times I think he felt that way. He always bounced back.
Unfortunately I am 2 and half hours travel from him and have only had time
to visited once. Both of us have kept Australian Post busy at times with
parts going back and forth. His attention to detail is good to see in
some one this age. Any help from the members on the list makes me glad to
be part of it.
