I saved this message because I wanted to ask a question,
then I forgot...but here it is now!

I wondered about your description of the "square
rectangular" capacitor...is this a box-like affair
that has a mounting tab at each end, looks like it
is folded up from tin-plated steel, perhaps about
1" square on the ends, and about 3" long? Sharp-
cornered bends in the construction of the case?

I ask because the amplifier in the Seeburg "Shoot
The Bear" that I worked on recently had a capacitor
like that, and at first I did not recognize it for
a capacitor. It was a 10 uF 300V non-polar
electrolytic that was put across the score-stepper
coil. Since this unit is pretty close in age to
the Seeburg A's and B's, it seems likely they were
drawing on the same parts-bins for components!
