[Jukebox-list] A Wurly 2510 amp question

Hi JC,
The cartridge had the 2 clips on the end and they were spread wider than the
opening on the tone arm, so I guess when I pushed them together, one clip
broke off. I didn't hear it fall into the magazine, but it did , and I
later found it when I was oiling the main cam! I suddenly had no sound when
this happened and the amp had not been rebuilt, but Jukebox Jimmy and I had
sound when he was here!! It was Kyle, over a phone call, that told me to
pull out the cartridge and sure enough, that's what it was. I ordered a new
cartridge and the amp was rebuilt and we are good to go.

As far as what I've been up to, it's been super busy, both personally and my
studio. The highlight of my summer was my Sock-hop with the 3 Jukes. They
just performed perfectly. At one point, on the Rockola, the #8 selections
would not pull a pin, so to the amazement of the "uninformed" guests (it
looked like I really knew what I was doing, haha) I quickly cleaned the
contact for the #8 and worked it back and forth a few times and it's been
perfect since.

Last week the Seeburg C had a cancel issue for a particular pin which
quickly spread to several pins. Thanks to Ron, it was a gummed inside
cancel plunger and I am happy to report, it's canceling like a charm!

The last couple weeks the 2410 had a switch issue. The transfer and
mute/play switches seem to be an on-going issue and I am learning to start
there. The record was remaining in play after the end of the song. The
contacts were cleaned and on Ron's suggestion, the "stop bracket" was
adjusted and we are back in business.

I use all 3 Jukeboxes everyday, just to keep them working smoothly, however
the Wurly 2410 which is upstairs is the one that just gets the heck played
out of it. I never get tired of them, swapping out the records is great
fun, and it turns any rainy day into a sunny one. We are all so lucky to
have and enjoy these marvels!
